Design, Build, And A Short Period Of Operation (Dbo) Contract For Jenin West Wwtp Dbo Contract For Jenin West
The Jenin West Water Utility(JWWU) has received financing through Palestinian Water Authurity (PWA) from Agence Française de Développement (“AFD”), and is planning to receive additional financing from the EU and KFW (EU and KFW Co-Financiers) , and intends to use part of the funds thereof for payments under the following project:
TAJDID [Treatment of wastewater and Agriculture in Jenin west for Development, Investment and Decentralization].
2. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this grant will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for DBo for Jenin West WWTP for Jenin West Water Utility (JWWU), which is currently in the process of preparing bidding documents.
3. The purpose of the project is to improve the living conditions of the area’s population and to preserve the environment and groundwater resources. The project aims to establish appropriate sanitation services for all towns and villages within the JWWU’s scope. It includes three specific objectives: (i) ensure the collection and treatment of wastewater from the towns and villages of West Jenin, (ii) provide treated wastewater to farmers in the area, and (iii) contribute to a sustainable and efficient management of the service by strengthening the capabilities of the operator.
4. The Central Tendering Department (CTD), on behalf of Employer Jenin West Water Utility (JWWU), hereby invites eligible Bidders international and local classified contractors ( classified in the field of water and sewage (First class)) to submit applications for Initial Selection for the execution of the Works, which includes the Design and Build of the first phase of Jenin West Wastewater Treatment Plant(WWTP), the pumping station and reservoir for reuse of treated wastewater, the photovoltaic (PV) system on site, in addition to a short period of operation of the plant (between 6 and 18 months). It is expected that invitation to submit their bids in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP). |
